Open Access Policy
Art and Design operates fully under the open access model, meaning that all published content is freely available to readers and institutions without any financial restrictions. The journal does not charge fees for accessing or reusing its materials.
Availability
Once an article is published, it becomes part of the openly accessible scholarly record. Readers may view, download, store, copy and share the content without technical or legal barriers of any kind.
Terms of use
The reuse of published materials is governed by the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) licence. This licence permits unlimited reproduction, distribution, adaptation and transformation of the work, including for commercial purposes. The only requirements are that users provide proper attribution to the original source, include the DOI of the publication, indicate if any changes have been made, and clearly reference the licence terms. The licence also prohibits implying that the publisher or the authors endorse any particular reuse of the material.
Authors’ rights
Authors retain full copyright and intellectual property rights. They may reuse their work in future publications, deposit it in repositories, or distribute it independently in any form. The journal holds only the non-exclusive right to publish and disseminate the article.
Complete versions of all published papers are available in the Archive section, which aligns with the principles set out in the Budapest Open Access Initiative regarding free and unrestricted access to scholarly literature.
